The SOF consists of military personnel from various units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies with a high level of training and experience in special operations.
The symbol of the CCO is the wolf, a mythological character that is a combination of a wolf and a human. This symbol was not chosen by chance - wolves are known for their endurance, cunning and ability to adapt to different conditions, and people are known for their intellectual power and decision-making ability. In addition, according to legend, there were Cossack characters in Ukraine who were reincarnations of werewolves.
The patch depicts a trident, a symbol of Sviatoslav the Brave, the Grand Prince of Kievan Rus, who was known for his military prowess and great victories over the enemy. The trident is a symbol of courage, military skill and determination, which reflects the characteristics necessary to fulfill the tasks of the SSO.
The SSO patch is gray, which symbolizes mystery, coolness, and endurance. The gray color also reflects the need to operate in the shadows, maintaining confidentiality and not revealing your actions to the enemy.
